EDIT: 26-08

Good news!
My doggie is back home, yey :D
She had surgery this morning, everything went well.
It was a haemorrhage from the uterus, we do not know why, his mucosa were very swollen and bloody.
Her uterus and ovaries were removed, she already don't bleed anymore.
She is very tired and weak, she can not climb stairs or lie down on her stomach because it hurt her too much but she is "ok" c

EDIT: 24:08

I just came back from the the vet, nothing visible on  ultrasound, the uterus, kidneys or liver looks okay, she collected urine, nothing unusual either, she does not feel anything wierd in the vagina so ...We have got a hemorrhage but we do not know why... She  got antibiotic until Wednesday morning , she will be operated.

--------

She finished her periods (I don't know if we said "period" for an animal in english) since 2-3 weeks and she is now bleeding, (pretty much) the blood is thick and odorless.
She is 2 years old.
She isnt pregnant.
My husband is terrified, internet scares him but my dog does not have other symptoms.
You have an opinion about this?

our dog had that too and needed an emergancy operation... idk if it's the same but ours had some infection inside her womb or something.... you should get her checked by the vet asap!!

It sounds like she's spotting given your description of the blood being dark and balling up (probably vaginal tissue mixed with old blood). It doesn't sound concerning! I'd get it checked out anyway and get her spayed soon if you're not going to breed her. c:

Hopefully it's nothing, but the fact that she already had her 'period' and is bleeding for a few days I hope it's not Pyrometra - if you are finding puss then I would be concerned, but if she's active and its just small bits of blood then I'll be crossing my fingers. I hope her appointment goes well and it's just her body being slightly out of whack, but when given the chance I would honestly get her spayed as soon as you are able to - that will cut back on the hormones on her body and thus reducing her chance of having cancer as well Pyrometra which is automatically an automatic emergency spay.

Used to work as a vet tech for five years and needless to say, those are never fun. :c Best of luck to your little girl!

Kay. Just making sure, there's nothing to be worried about though, it's like with people! She just has a little blood left over :) Once she's neutered you'll probably notice some behavioural issues disappear!

My young female collie use to always bleed at the end of her season. I use to get spots of blood all over the carpet and had to clean it with a mop and as far as I know Its perfectly normal for female dogs to do this. In the same way a human females body clears out all the tissue after an unused egg, dogs do the same thing. Quite often they lick themselves to keep it clean but some female dogs seem to be a bit lazy ;p

I think it's normal, but check your vet. There are a couple of other things that can cause bleeding too so it might be worth him taking a look. But female dog's cycle can be 6 months long and the spotting stage can last up to 13 days.

That's what I don't like about vests. Surgery is a very expensive procedure to do when you don't know what's wrong and are only going by 1 symptom :( they don't even do that to human patients but I suppose if your the one picking up the bill then they don't care. But sorry, that's my opinion and me ranting about vets. I've just had to pay hundreds of pounds on tests and drugs for my dog for small problems that fix themselves, so I've become cynical. ;p

the analysis of blood and urine gave nothing...
so ...We have got a hemorrhage but we do not know why...
the blood stagnating in her vagina is a bacteria nest, she begins to weaken, it is the only things to do, sadely
I will work more to pay the bills, I won't let my children like that c:

Well because they did blood and urine tests then they have ruled out Pyometron, which is the only other main reason for a female dog to bleed (and can be very serious). Is the surgory to remove the overies, or is it just exploritory?

A dogs heat cycle (period) is 21 days long. The amount of bleeding changes during the cycle. It could be that you dog is not out of heat yet. Sometimes during the second week the discharge may decrease and the owner would think the cycle is over. The only other thing I could think of is a infection in the uterus.

She could have had a split heat.
Don't worry about the blood unless it develops a strange color and or odor. She may also have a urinary tract infection that's causing it. If it continues bring her to the vet and have her checked. I wouldn't panic yet.

I hope she is alright. And if you don't plan on breeding her I would get her spade. A intact female is at a higher risk of getting mammary cancer.

yeah you should get that checked out
you should also probably get her fixed maybe? so things like this could be prevented in the future if the period is the case

Yes, I hope the vet can convince my man.
I always
neutralize my pets but my man is affraid to lose her fluffy children (even if it is a common surgery)

That is a bit odd, and  I'm glad that you're getting it checked out. But then again humans get irregular periods at times, so maybe its something like that? Thats the best (and safest) option that I can think of.  Hopefully its nothing serious!

I honestly think that either way, the best thing to do would be to take it to a vet just in case!
Even though it doens't have other symptoms you can never be too sure ;;
Good luck with your baby ;o;/
